Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BeforeFX ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users of the Service, including visitors, registered users, and paying subscribers.

2. Description of Service

BeforeFX is an Adobe After Effects plugin that provides expression generation, project organisation, and audio beat detection features. The Service is provided as a subscription-based software product with various plan tiers.

3. Account Registration

To use BeforeFX, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Free Trial and Subscriptions

BeforeFX offers a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. A valid payment method is required to start the trial. If you do not cancel before the trial period ends, you will be automatically charged for the subscription plan you selected. Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) depending on the plan chosen. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard or the Stripe Customer Portal.

5. Payment and Billing

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By providing your payment information, you authorize us to charge you for the subscription plan you have selected. Prices are listed in US Dollars and are subject to change with 30 days' prior notice. Failed payments may result in suspension of your account.

6. Refund Policy

We offer a full refund within 14 days of your first paid charge if you are not satisfied with the Service. Refund requests after 14 days will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Refunds are not available for partial billing periods after the 14-day window. Contact us at plugins@beforefx.com to request a refund.

7. Licence and Usage

Upon subscribing, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use BeforeFX on up to 2 (two) computers simultaneously. You may not sublicense, sell, redistribute, or otherwise transfer the software to third parties. Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the software is strictly prohibited.

8. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Service and its content, including but not limited to software, code, design, and documentation, are owned by BeforeFX. Expressions and content you create using BeforeFX belong to you.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BeforeFX shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and contacting us.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
